At the heart of its seven campuses, URN strives to create living and sharing spaces that are accessible to all. Students and staff rub shoulders on the campuses, whose daily life is punctuated by cultural, sporting and community activities. The University is also keen to ensure that its staff can benefit from the support of SACSO, the cultural and social action service. In addition, URN ensures that each of its campuses complies with environmental standards and is an eco-responsible thematic campus that promotes biodiversity.

Culture at URN
Every year, URN offers its staff a wide range of cultural activities. Visual arts, performing arts and scientific culture are highlighted throughout the year. You can attend shows (free or at a preferential rate), enjoy exhibitions and even borrow a work of art for your office. The university libraries are also open to all university staff.
SACSO
SACSO’s work focuses on two main areas: helping staff with the social benefits they are entitled to, and organizing cultural events within the Rouen metropolitan area and Normandy as a whole. It also organizes the staff party and the staff children’s Christmas.
Leisure center
University staff can register their children, aged 3 to 12, at the SACSO-run leisure center on the Mont-Saint-Aignan campus.
The leisure center is open on Wednesdays during school terms, and during the autumn, winter and spring vacations, the first three weeks of July and the last week of August. Stays can also be organized during the winter and summer vacations.
Eco-responsible campuses
Committed to sustainable development for over 10 years, Université Rouen Normandie seeks to minimize its impact on the environment. Its aim is to create “eco-responsible” campuses that foster an environment conducive to personal development and learning, while ensuring the preservation of the environment.
