The University of Rouen Normandy has always been committed to important social issues. It continues to do so, particularly with regard to socio-ecological transitions. For over 15 years, URN has been committed to sustainable development and energy efficiency. Today, its priority is to provide the keys to understanding these issues, so that the entire university community can become involved in the transformation of society.

Through its 300 courses, the quality of its research, particularly through numerous projects dedicated to sustainable development, its involvement on the international scene with the INGENIUM European university alliance, and the quality of life on its seven campuses, the University of Rouen Normandy works every day to ensure that its 32,000 students, 1,500 teacher-researchers and researchers, and 1,000 administrative and technical staff are able to cope with a society undergoing profound change, and drive change by making the challenges of ecological transition central to its institutional strategy.
